Chief Financial Officer – Private Equity‑Backed Services Group

About the role
An ambitious, private‑equity‑backed multi‑site services business is seeking a commercially astute CFO to join its senior leadership team in Edinburgh. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the PE investor, you will own the finance function end‑to‑end.
Key responsibilities
- Lead statutory and management reporting across a multi‑site operating model.
- Manage cash, working capital and liquidity to support growth.
- Prepare board and investor reports and drive financial planning.
- Identify and deliver operational efficiencies.
- Support M&A activity and buy‑and‑build initiatives.
- Prepare the business for its next value‑creation milestone, potentially including an exit.
Required profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Proven experience in a PE‑backed or private‑equity‑facing environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence at board level.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of delivering value.
