Childcare Solicitor (Locum) – 12‑week contract

About the role
We are seeking a qualified Childcare Solicitor on a locum basis for an initial 12‑week period. The role is full‑time (37 hours per week) and based in Blackpool, with at least one day per week spent in the office or attending court.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a personal caseload covering all aspects of childcare law.
- Provide verbal and written legal advice to clients on complex childcare matters.
- Draft and review detailed legal documentation related to childcare provisions.
- Represent clients in advocacy and court proceedings as required.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor with experience in childcare law.
- Demonstrated experience working within a Local Authority setting.
- Willingness to attend the Blackpool office or court at least one day per week.
Required skills
- Legal research and analysis in childcare legislation.
- Drafting of complex legal documents.
- Client advisory and advocacy skills.
