Children Law Paralegal (Nationwide)

About the role

Duncan Lewis Solicitors is seeking a dedicated Children Law Paralegal to support its nationally recognised Child Care Department. Working across the UK, you will assist guardians, parents and families with a wide range of child‑care matters, from adoption to surrogacy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist guardians in representing children in legal proceedings.
• Represent parents and family members in adoption, co‑parenting and surrogacy cases.
• Provide expert advice to birth parents and prospective adoptive parents.
• Advise same‑sex couples on child‑care arrangements following divorce, separation or civil partnership dissolution.
• Collaborate with senior solicitors and contribute to the department’s high‑profile cases.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in child‑care law.
• Understanding of adoption, family law and related statutory frameworks.
• Ability to work sensitively with vulnerable clients.
• Commitment to the firm’s hybrid‑working model and paperless processes.
