Children Law Solicitor – Luton

About the role

Our client, a leading law firm recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, is seeking a dedicated Children Law Solicitor for a permanent position in Luton. You will join a highly regarded Family & Children department that provides specialist advice and representation across a wide range of matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Children Law work, including divorce, financial disputes, international child abduction, adoption and injunctions.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, including trainee solicitors and caseworkers.
• Supervise and mentor trainees, ensuring appropriate caseload distribution and development.
• Contribute to business development and marketing activities to support the department’s growth.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with NQ status and up to 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Extensive experience in Family and Children law matters.
• Strong client‑care skills and a proactive, professional approach.
• Interest in business development and departmental training.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Children Law, including abduction, adoption, injunctions and maintenance issues.
• Ability to supervise and develop junior legal staff.
