Children Solicitor – Lead Childcare Department

About the role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Children Solicitor to lead and supervise the Childcare department. The role is based in Woking (or Basingstoke) and offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload of complex children law matters while delivering high‑quality legal advice.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a broad and varied caseload of complex childcare matters.
• Provide supervision and leadership within the Childcare department.
• Maintain high standards of legal service and advice.
• Work closely with clients to understand their individual needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to enhance case handling and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Qualified and registered Solicitor of England & Wales.
• Active member of the Law Society Child Panel.
• Ideally 5 years post‑qualification experience in children law (other experience levels will be considered).
• Strong knowledge of legal aid and children panel accreditation.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
