Children's Residential Support Worker – Full‑Time Care Role

About the role

Join a vibrant children’s home in Heighington Village where you will support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will be a key part of their daily routine, helping them regain a sense of childhood and build a positive future.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with morning routines, school preparation and homework.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities such as games, film days, sports and outings.
• Complete required paperwork, maintain records and support administrative tasks.
• Provide evening and weekend support, including recreational time on Xbox, football or go‑karting.
• Promote a safe, caring environment and respond to both high and low moments in residents’ lives.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, compassionate and reliable attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and occasional sleep‑ins.
• Commitment to maintaining good attendance.
• Willingness to engage with young people’s individual needs and personalities.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary ranging from £34,274 to £40,640 per year.
• Up to four paid sleep‑ins per month (£80 each) and a £1,400 attendance allowance.
