Children's Residential Support Worker

About the role

Join Gratia Cura Residential in Oxford as a Children’s Residential Support Worker, providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people. You will work 38 hours per week, including two sleep‑ins, delivering personalised care and support in a permanent, on‑site position.

Key responsibilities

• Support the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of residents.
• Implement and follow individualised care plans and risk assessments.
• Maintain high standards of personal care, hygiene and safeguarding.
• Facilitate educational activities, supervise residents in various settings and support community outings.
• Coordinate with families, stakeholders and attend review meetings.
• Complete mandatory training, including a Level 3 residential care diploma.
• Assist other staff with therapeutic and educational programmes.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (provided if necessary).
• Experience in children’s residential care is preferred.
• Valid driving licence (preferred).
• Enhanced DBS check (provided by the employer).
• Ability to work flexible shifts (7 am‑10 pm, 7 am‑3 pm or 2 pm‑10 pm) and undertake sleep‑ins.
