Bank Care Assistant - Multiple Care Homes

About the role

Gold Care Homes is looking for an experienced Bank Care Assistant to support its care homes across the Oxford area. The role suits a flexible and dedicated care professional who enjoys working across different care settings. It involves travelling between homes, so a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are required.

Key responsibilities

• Support or assist residents with all aspects of daily living when needed
• Support training and supervision of junior and new staff members, under the supervision of senior staff
• Answer the nurse call system, the door and the telephone, and pass on messages promptly
• Report on clients' well-being and liaise with GPs and support managers
• Carry out regular checks on clients at intervals set by senior staff
• Deliver personal and psychological care, arranging rotas for needs such as medication, toileting and bathing
• Complete records, changeover and keyworker documentation to the agreed standards and timescales

Required profile

• Experience as a care assistant
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Responsive, compassionate and able to promote residents' dignity, independence and wellbeing
