Children's Residential Support Worker – Oxford

About the role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker you will be a key part of daily life for young people living in our Oxford homes. You will help them regain a sense of normal childhood while supporting their social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist young people with morning routines, school preparation and homework.
- Plan and deliver a variety of activities, from sports and games to creative projects.
- Provide supervision and support during evenings and weekends, including organised outings.
- Maintain accurate records, complete required paperwork and contribute to care plans.
- Participate in on‑call sleep‑in shifts (up to four per month) to ensure 24‑hour safety and continuity of care.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Reliability and good attendance, with willingness to undertake sleep‑in duties.
- Ability to respond calmly to both high‑energy moments and challenging situations.
- Commitment to the values of safeguarding and promoting wellbeing.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required; training will be provided.
What we offer
- Base salary ranging from £36,274 to £42,640 per year.
- Sleep‑in allowance (£80 per shift) and attendance allowance.
