Children’s Social Worker – Child in Care Team (West London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join a Looked After Children / UASC / Children in Care team serving the West London area, based in Uxbridge. This contract role pays £39.04 per hour and offers hybrid working flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload that includes Under‑age Asylum‑Seeking Children and conduct age assessments.
• Provide safeguarding and support for looked‑after children and young people.
• Collaborate with external agencies, schools and health services to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate case records and produce required reports.
• Participate in multi‑agency meetings and contribute to care planning.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with experience in Looked After Children, UASC or Children in Care.
• Strong knowledge of UK child protection legislation and policies.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
