Children's Social Worker – Family Support & Safeguarding (Hybrid)

About the role

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking experienced Children’s Social Workers to join its Family Support & Safeguarding service across Huntingdon, Wisbech and Cambridge City. You will work in a hybrid model, balancing office time, home working and statutory visits to support vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop safeguarding plans for children.
• Carry out child protection interventions and ensure the child's voice is central.
• Build strong relationships with children, young people and families.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Produce clear analytical reports and maintain accurate case records.
• Manage risk and promote sustainable positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified social work degree, Masters, PG Diploma or Fast Track.
• Active registration with Social Work England.
• Proven experience working with children and families.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the county.
