Civil & Structural Engineer

About the role

Skanska is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer to join its Infrastructure team on the Anglian Water project in East Anglia. You will contribute to the delivery of clean water and wastewater infrastructure, supporting a £2.6 billion investment that safeguards water resources for future generations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design solution development and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct feasibility studies, optioneering and detailed design, producing sketches and integrating them into digital models using CAD tools.
• Support proposal preparation, scope definition, programme planning and budgeting.
• Apply risk management processes, including Design Risk Assessments and DSEAR compliance.
• Prepare construction and health‑and‑safety documentation and respond to technical queries.
• Manage projects from feasibility through construction, ensuring delivery to standards, budget and schedule.

Required profile

• BEng or MEng/MSc degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience performing structural calculations for concrete structures to required standards.
• Design experience of civil engineering structures within the water and wastewater sector.
• Proficiency with engineering software packages and technical sketching.
