Civilian Investigator

About the role

The Metropolitan Police Service is looking for experienced Civilian Investigators to support a high‑profile, large‑scale criminal investigation. This 12‑month contract will be based in Hendon and offers hybrid working, allowing you to contribute to complex case development while working alongside dedicated professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Progress complex lines of enquiry and develop evidential case files.
• Conduct detailed analysis of evidence and intelligence.
• Collaborate with investigation and disclosure teams.
• Review and manage large volumes of sensitive material.
• Ensure compliance with disclosure obligations and support preparation of prosecution‑ready files.

Required profile

• PIP2 accredited.
• Recent experience in serious or complex crime investigations (last 5 years).
• Strong analytical ability and excellent report‑writing skills.
• Capability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• HOLMES case management system.
