Civils Foreperson – Site Leadership Role

About the role

Breedon Group plc is seeking an experienced Civils Foreperson to lead frontline civil engineering and construction activities on site. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of projects while fostering a strong team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all site‑based civil engineering works, ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to maximise productivity and meet project specifications.
• Ensure works are carried out in line with approved drawings, risk assessments, method statements and specifications.
• Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks and planning sessions with operational teams.
• Monitor progress against programme, reporting any issues, delays or resource needs to management.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, inspections and quality checks.
• Liaise professionally with clients, stakeholders and the wider project team to support successful delivery.
• Provide hands‑on guidance, mentoring and support to site operatives.
