Claims Handler - APA or CIP Qualified (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a permanent, fully remote Claims Handler for a fast‑growing VC‑backed insurtech company that uses AI to streamline insurer claim processing. The successful candidate must hold an APA or CIP qualification and can be based anywhere in the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Manage claims from first notification through to settlement.
• Communicate with policyholders to ensure a clear, positive experience.
• Review documentation, verify coverage, assess liability and set appropriate reserves.
• Identify and escalate potential fraud indicators.
• Maintain accurate claim records for audit and compliance.
• Contribute to process improvement by flagging inefficiencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in claims handling or a similar role.
• APA or CIP qualification – essential.
• Experience with personal‑lines insurance (pet, travel, gadget, auto, property) preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise independently.
• Data‑driven decision making and team‑oriented attitude.
• Experience in a startup or high‑growth environment is a plus.
