Claims Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Claims Team Leader to manage a high‑performing team delivering disease‑related claims services in Glasgow. You will combine strong technical knowledge of NIHL (Noise‑Induced Hearing Loss) claims with people‑management skills to ensure client SLA compliance and commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Provide supervision, training and technical support to the claims team.
• Plan and distribute workload, balancing individual capability with timely, profitable case completion.
• Handle client MI requirements and act as first point of contact for client complaints.
• Maintain compliance with TMS and client benchmarks while driving settlements and quality delivery.
• Identify and implement learning activities to achieve authority levels and develop team members.
• Maintain a small caseload of pre‑litigated NIHL claims.
• Lead projects and process updates to improve operating practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in claims management, preferably NIHL or similar disease claims.
• Demonstrated people‑management experience, including supervision and coaching.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Track record of leading a team or project to deliver outcomes in an insurance or legal environment.
