Class 1/2 HIAB Driver – Bedford

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 or Class 2 HIAB driver to join our Bedford team. You will be responsible for safely transporting, loading and unloading materials using a lorry‑loader crane, supporting installations across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a HIAB‑equipped vehicle safely, complying with road and site regulations.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring all loads are correctly secured with straps, ratchets or chains.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with customers, site teams and colleagues.
• Assist with product installations at various UK locations, including occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence.
• ALLMI D1+E qualification.
• CSCS Labourer Card.
• Proven experience operating a HIAB or lorry‑loader crane.
• Experience securing loads on flatbed vehicles.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Professional, reliable work approach.

• Forklift operation (counter‑balance or Moffett – desirable).
