Class 2/7.5T Driver

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Class 2/7.5T driver to join its two‑person home delivery team in Portbury, Bristol. This full‑time, permanent position involves delivering and assembling furniture, handling heavy items and providing a high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Transport furniture safely from warehouses to customers' premises and assemble items on‑site.
• Remove and return all packaging, ensuring clean delivery locations.
• Perform vehicle checks, tachograph recordings and complete all required documentation.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and head office regarding delivery issues.
• Secure vehicles at all times and report any defects or discrepancies promptly.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 or 7.5T entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six current penalty points and no recent disqualifying endorsements.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including emergencies outside regular business times.
• Successful completion of a DBS check.

Required skills

• Safe vehicle operation and adherence to road legislation.
