Cleaner/Domestic – Care Home (Cambridge)

About the role

Join the Housekeeping Team at Primrose Croft Care Home in Cambridge and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. As a Cleaner/Domestic staff member you will work alongside compassionate colleagues to ensure high standards of hygiene and comfort throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard at all times.
• Carry out deep‑cleaning tasks on a rota, including floors, soft furnishings, fixtures, fittings, windows and walls.
• Dispose of rubbish and report any equipment failures or maintenance issues.
• Follow COSHH and Infection Control regulations.
• Engage with residents during cleaning tasks, promoting dignity, choice and respect.

Required profile

• Kind and compassionate approach to caring for residents.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good time‑management, organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Flexibility, enthusiasm and a sense of humour.
• Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic role is desirable.
