Client Director – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a remote Client Director to lead client relationships for a fast‑growing, award‑winning chartered accountancy firm. The role combines strategic oversight, team leadership and hands‑on technical review of complex financial deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain high‑quality client relationships, acting as the senior escalation point for complex matters.
• Coach, mentor and manage a team of finance managers to deliver accurate, timely reporting.
• Oversee client onboarding, transition and the creation of outsourced finance department structures.
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational processes.
• Monitor portfolio profitability, KPIs and commercial performance.
• Identify growth opportunities through upselling and cross‑selling of services.
• Review complex VAT returns, annual accounts and management accounts for technical excellence and compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with solid client‑facing experience in an accountancy practice.
• Proven people‑management experience and ability to develop high‑performing teams.
• Positive attitude and comfort working remotely.
