Client Finance Accountant

About the role

As a Client Finance Accountant you will deliver accurate, timely and compliant accounting services to a portfolio of clients. You will work closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure high‑quality financial reporting, reconciliations and deliverables that support excellent client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain client records and reconcile ledgers.
• Prepare management accounts, consolidate financial reports and regulatory returns.
• Prepare statutory accounts and process journals and reference data.
• Approve payments within delegated authority and monitor outstanding invoices.
• Monitor cash movements, balances and escalate issues to the Client Manager.
• Process payroll on behalf of clients.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors and clients.
• Document, follow and update procedures and controls.
• Support recruitment, training, development and succession planning.
• Assist with client audits and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Experience preparing management accounts, annual reports and statutory financial statements.
• Strong attention to detail and high professional ethics.
• Customer‑focused with the ability to meet conflicting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
