Client Manager – Accountancy Practice (North West London)

About the role

We are a growing boutique accountancy practice seeking a Client Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients. Working closely with a highly experienced Director, you will combine technical accounting expertise with commercial and operational responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients, acting as the primary day‑to‑day contact.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and other business structures.
• Oversee corporation tax compliance and filing requirements.
• Handle personal tax returns for directors, business owners and individuals.
• Review work produced by junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Contribute to operational strategy, process improvement and the firm’s growth plans.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Proven knowledge of statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
• Experience managing SME and owner‑managed business client portfolios.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Commercially aware with a desire to take broader responsibility.
