Client Manager

About the role

We are seeking a driven, client‑focused finance professional to join a reputable accounting practice in Waterlooville. You will manage a portfolio of small‑business clients, delivering high‑quality service and building lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of sole traders, limited companies and directors, ensuring satisfaction and compliance.
• Develop strong client relationships through face‑to‑face meetings and regular phone contact.
• Support the training and development of trainees, reviewing work and providing guidance.
• Contribute to the firm’s reputation by delivering proactive, technically sound advice.
• Assist the wider team in delivering seamless accountancy solutions and help grow the client base through referrals.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in an accounting practice with small‑business clients.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and able to hit the ground running.
• Relevant accounting or finance qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and a professional, approachable manner.
• Enthusiastic about supporting team members and contributing to a positive culture.
