Clinical Deputy Manager – Care Home

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Deputy Manager to join our purpose‑built care home on the woodland edge of Forres, Moray. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will help drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance and high‑quality resident care in a 41‑resident facility offering residential, dementia, nursing and respite services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on leadership to nursing and care teams, covering shifts and acting as deputy in the Home Manager’s absence.
• Oversee clinical governance, care planning, medication management and risk management to ensure safe, person‑centred care.
• Conduct audits, monitor performance, support inspections and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Mentor, support and develop staff, fostering a culture of learning and high performance.
• Maintain regulatory and organisational standards, ensuring compliance with NMC and Care Quality Commission requirements.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in a care‑home setting.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
• Experience in clinical governance, audits and compliance.
• Excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving and communication skills.

What we offer

• £24.50 per hour plus a £1,000 welcome bonus (terms apply).
• Full‑time contract with a mix of on‑floor and supernumerary shifts.
• Paid PVG, NMC registration, pension, uniform and 5.6 weeks annual leave.
• Paid NMC fees, ongoing training, clinical development and clear progression to Home Manager role.
