Clinical Negligence Solicitor Director

About the role

The Clinical Negligence Solicitor Director will lead the firm’s clinical negligence practice, delivering expert legal advice to individuals and families affected by medical injury. Reporting directly to the Board, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on case management in a hybrid‑working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Report to and collaborate with the Board to meet performance targets.
• Provide professional, proactive client care with a sensitive understanding of client needs.
• Oversee all aspects of clinical negligence work, offering technical expertise and guidance to team members.
• Manage a diverse caseload, handling complex clinical negligence claims including birth injuries, cosmetic surgery, dental/hospital negligence, misdiagnosis and surgical negligence.
• Assist with casework, ensuring thorough preparation and pursuit of maximum compensation for clients.
• Develop and implement practice strategies to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with extensive experience in clinical negligence law.
• Proven leadership ability to manage and mentor a legal team.
• Strong client‑care orientation and ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior stakeholders and the Board.
