Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Remote/Hybrid (Newcastle)

About the role

We are a leading claimant law firm seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our established team. The role can be performed fully remotely or on a hybrid basis with occasional visits to our Newcastle office, offering excellent flexibility to balance professional and personal commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of clinical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution or trial.
• Support senior lawyers on complex cases, assisting with strategy and case progression.
• Draft legal documents such as letters of claim, instructions and settlement agreements.
• Prepare cases for litigation, including trial preparation and liaising with external experts.
• Engage with clients, providing clear and empathetic advice throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate time‑recording, file management and use of case management systems.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with up to 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience handling a clinical negligence caseload.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and commercial awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
