Clinical Research Nurse – Early Phase Dementia Trials

About the role

The Senior Clinical Research Nurse will support the delivery and growth of early‑phase dementia clinical trials within the UK Dementia Trials Network. Working closely with investigators, sponsors and patients, the role ensures trials are conducted safely, ethically and in line with research governance legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage early‑phase dementia trial protocols across multiple sites.
• Liaise with clinical investigators, commercial and non‑commercial sponsors.
• Ensure patient safety and well‑being throughout trial participation.
• Maintain accurate trial documentation and compliance with governance standards.
• Provide direct support and monitoring for patients enrolled in trials.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse or equivalent with experience in clinical research.
• Demonstrated experience in managing early‑phase clinical trials, preferably in neurology or dementia.
• Strong understanding of research governance and ethical requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with investigators, sponsors and patients.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) knowledge.
