Clinical Research Nurse

About the role

The Clinical Research Nurse will manage clinics on the BEST4 mobile unit for a pioneering oesophageal cancer screening trial. You will be trained to administer the Capsule Sponge test and work closely with multidisciplinary research teams across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the clinic on the BEST4 mobile unit, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for participants.
• Explain study involvement, obtain informed consent, and conduct the Capsule Sponge test according to protocol.
• Coordinate appointments and coverage with the clinic coordinator and Clinical Coordinator.
• Maintain accurate data entry, sample collection, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide clinical support during participant visits, including emergency procedures such as bleeding control or resuscitation.
• Work autonomously on a caseload while collaborating with the wider BEST4 research team.

Required profile

• Motivated, enthusiastic and flexible candidate.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient‑facing with strong communication skills for consent and study explanation.
• Willingness to travel to various sites and operate in a mobile clinic setting.

Required skills
