Clinical Research Nurse – Mobile Unit (BEST4 Study)

About the role

Join a pioneering research collaboration between Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, University of Cambridge, Cancer Research UK and Queen Mary University of London. The Clinical Research Nurse will manage clinics on the BEST4 mobile unit, delivering the Capsule Sponge test for early detection of oesophageal cancer.

Key responsibilities

• Run the BEST4 mobile unit clinics, ensuring a welcoming environment for participants.
• Explain study details, obtain informed consent and perform the Capsule Sponge test.
• Collect samples, enter data accurately and support participants throughout their visit.
• Coordinate appointments with the clinic coordinator and liaise with research teams at QMUL, Cambridge and EMS.
• Maintain clinical and regulatory compliance, including emergency response procedures.

Required profile

• Motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individual able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patient‑facing experience in a clinical or research setting.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites and work in a mobile unit.
