Cloud Security Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Consultant to join a leading cybersecurity consulting practice. The role involves designing, securing and implementing cloud solutions for government and regulated clients across public, private and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design secure cloud architectures for public, private and hybrid environments.
• Develop cloud security strategies and enterprise security use cases.
• Create security reference architectures and governance models.
• Support design and deployment of secure cloud infrastructure.
• Embed security throughout the cloud lifecycle using Secure by Design principles.
• Conduct threat modelling and architecture reviews.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate secure cloud solutions across hybrid IT.
• Implement security automation, orchestration and DevSecOps practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor colleagues and clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cloud security architecture and design.
• Experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of secure cloud governance, Zero Trust principles and DevSecOps.
• Ability to perform threat modelling and security architecture reviews.
• Hold a relevant cloud security certification (e.g., AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, Google Cloud Security).
• Must be a sole UK national, have lived in the UK continuously for the past five years and hold an active SC (Security Check) clearance.
