CNC Machine Minder – Swindon (Full‑time)

About the role

The CNC Machine Minder will provide essential support to the CNC machining areas at a manufacturing site in Swindon. Working on either an early or late shift, you will help ensure safe, efficient and uninterrupted operation of CNC equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist CNC setters by loading and unloading components and raw material.
• Maintain machine coolant and oil levels.
• Carry out patrol inspections, record component dimensions and report any non‑conformances.
• Perform visual inspections of parts for defects and communicate findings to setters or team leaders.
• Handle the movement, administration and identification of products between areas.
• Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean and organised.
• Store tooling, gauges and equipment securely to prevent damage.
• Provide cover and support to other departments when required.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence and own transport (required for shift patterns).
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and work accurately under pressure.

Required skills

• Familiarity with inspection measuring equipment.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machine operation and handling.
