About the role
We are seeking a CNC Operator to join a global manufacturer serving the space and defence sector. The position offers a stable, days‑only schedule with a 9‑day fortnight pattern, providing excellent work‑life balance and no mandatory overtime.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a variety of CNC mills, machining centres and lathes on a rotating shift pattern.
- Set up, run and monitor Heidenhain‑controlled machines to produce high‑precision aerospace components.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with an experienced team to continuously improve process efficiency.
Required profile
- Experience operating CNC lathes or mills, or a willingness to be trained.
- Ability to commute to York and work weekdays only.
- Commitment to follow health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
