CNC Press Brake Operative – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a skilled CNC Press Brake Operative to join our manufacturing team in Southampton. You will operate CNC press brake machinery to punch, bend and shape sheet metal and other materials with precision, supporting high‑quality specialist production.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machines according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring correct positioning and alignment.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve required angles and dimensions.
• Inspect finished components for quality and tolerance compliance.
• Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on the equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fabrication using CNC press brakes.
• Knowledge of tooling, punch parts and general mechanical principles.
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurement and calculation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Right to work in the UK and residence in the Southampton area.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £15.38 up to £16.92 depending on experience.
• Full‑time temporary to permanent contract with a 12‑week probation period.
• Shift pattern: Monday‑Friday, 07:30 am – 04:00 pm (37.5‑40 hours per week).
