CNC Turner – Precision Engineering (4‑day week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a leading engineering company that manufactures high‑precision components for the aerospace, rail and motorsport sectors. The role offers a supportive team environment, a 4‑day work week and the chance to work with advanced CNC machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC lathes.
• Work with XYZ lathes using ProtoTRAK controls.
• Interpret engineering drawings and tolerance specifications.
• Produce precision components for aerospace, rail and motorsport applications.
• Maintain high quality and health & safety standards.
• Optionally develop CNC milling skills.
• Work Monday‑Thursday, 06:45‑17:00 with overtime paid at 1.4×.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship‑trained or at least 3 years’ machining experience.
• Experience programming and setting CNC lathes.
• Familiarity with ProtoTRAK or Mazatrol control systems (advantageous).
• Strong understanding of tooling, materials and tolerances.
• Good communication and team‑oriented attitude.
