About the role
A well-established manufacturing company in Lancashire is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter in Preston. The company produces bespoke products for industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, food and chemicals. You will shadow the current engineer, who is approaching retirement, and learn breakdown and planned maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment. The role is day-based, Monday to Friday, with overtime paid at time and a half.
Key responsibilities
- Mechanical maintenance of manufacturing machinery
- Perform breakdown maintenance and planned maintenance (PPM)
- Work alongside a senior engineer and eventually take full charge of the maintenance department
Required profile
- Mechanical experience; any background is considered as full training is provided
- Commutable to Preston
