Collection Driver – Fixed‑Term (Manchester)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Collection Driver on a fixed‑term contract, delivering mail and parcels across Manchester. You will work a flexible rota of 30 hours per week, handling collections, deliveries and customer interactions while representing the brand in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a collection vehicle on assigned routes, adhering to scheduled times.
• Check post‑boxes, visit post offices and collect mail from business customers.
• Deliver collected items to processing centres and ensure accurate sorting.
• Handle special items such as election materials safely and securely.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete required paperwork.

Required profile

• Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
• Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions and walking long periods.
• Strong sense of community and pride in delivering service.
• Looking for flexible shift patterns.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
