Commerce Director, Vogue & GQ

About the role

Condé Nast is looking for a Commerce Director to oversee the commerce business for Vogue and GQ across Germany, Italy, France and Spain. The role reports to the Global Executive Director of Vogue and the Global Senior Director for GQ, develops the overarching commerce strategy and leads a team of writers and editors working with editorial, product, marketing and data analytics teams to meet revenue and profit objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commerce editorial and content strategy, defining a multi-platform approach across onsite editorial, newsletters, social media and video, and own the editorial calendar
• Own revenue performance and develop long-term growth strategies, including merchandising, product assortment and retail and brand partnerships
• Grow commerce audiences and use audience insights, search trends and performance data to optimise content
• Work with Product and Data Analytics teams on reporting, traffic, click-through rates, conversion and revenue
• Lead and develop the commerce editorial and production team, and oversee business planning, revenue forecasting, budgets and profitability

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in commerce editorial, content strategy, e-commerce or affiliate commerce, ideally in a premium media, fashion or lifestyle business
• Proven experience developing multi-platform content strategies and turning global priorities into local editorial opportunities
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage senior stakeholders and balance creative ambition with commercial objectives

Required skills

• Strong commercial acumen, including affiliate commerce, merchandising and partnerships
• Use of audience insights, SEO and performance data to drive engagement and revenue
• Business planning and revenue forecasting
