Commerce Writer, Vogue

About the role

British Vogue is seeking a Shopping Writer to join the Vogue Shopping team, crafting distinctive shopping content that drives commercial growth across affiliate and partnerships. The role sits within the wider Vogue editorial team and contributes to British Vogue's affiliate revenue targets, with responsibility for understanding metrics such as click-through rate, conversion rate, average order value and commission rate.

Key responsibilities

• Write, pitch and optimise up to 8-10 new and evergreen commerce stories each week, working with the Shopping Director, wider shopping team and creative teams.
• Manage the long-term commerce editorial calendar with the Shopping Editor, covering ongoing, seasonal, evergreen and emerging content.
• Identify new shopping categories, products and trends, using purchasing data, site analytics, search trends and competitive insights.
• Shoot editor-led user-generated content for articles, social and newsletters.
• Produce and present regular reports on content, audience and commercial performance, and track purchasing data across onsite, social and newsletter channels.
• Work with Commerce and Audience Development teams to share data and insights, and partner with the fashion market team on market stories.
• Keep the archive of shopping content up to date, authoritative and optimised for search and e-commerce best practice.

Required profile

• A minimum of two years' experience writing fashion and commerce or affiliate content for a digital publication.
• Product and shopping editorial expertise, with strong product knowledge across categories and price points.
• Experience managing product sourcing logistics within an editorial or commerce environment.
• Experience analysing performance across product categories, retailers and content types to optimise revenue.

Required skills

• Excellent editorial judgement and the ability to write clean, authentic copy at speed.
• Strong knowledge of SEO principles and how to use search insights to attract a buying audience.
• Organisational, methodical approach with polished communication and collaborative skills.
