Commercial Account Director – Insurance Brokerage

About the role

Stride Resource Management is seeking a Commercial Account Director to join its fast‑growing insurance brokerage in the Midlands. You will inherit a portfolio of long‑standing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities to expand the book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑class, solution‑focused advice to existing and prospective commercial clients.
• Develop and manage complex, cross‑class insurance programmes tailored to client needs.
• Generate leads, build a robust pipeline, and convert prospects into long‑term relationships.
• Collaborate with a strong team of insurance professionals to share knowledge and support one another.
• Raise the broker’s profile across the region and become the go‑to insurance partner for local businesses.

Required profile

• Ambitious Account Executive with a proven track record in commercial insurance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to operate at multiple organisational levels.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently or as part of a supportive team.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of large, complex cross‑class insurance programmes.
