Commercial Account Executive - Construction Focused

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established insurance brokerage to find a Commercial Account Executive who will focus on construction‑related clients. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the Hertfordshire office for team collaboration and strategy sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of construction sector clients.
• Identify and pursue cross‑selling and upselling opportunities to grow revenue.
• Generate new business leads within the construction market and convert them into clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and industry contacts.
• Advise clients on insurance and risk‑management requirements.
• Negotiate terms, cover and premiums with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations and renewal reviews.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with internal broking and support teams to deliver exceptional service.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Commercial Account Executive, Account Director or similar client‑facing insurance role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, especially construction‑related risks.
• Experience with policies such as Contractors All Risks, Liability, Property and Professional Indemnity.
• Demonstrated track record of retaining and growing a client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
