Commercial Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded Commercial Strategy Analyst to join a fast‑growing financial services business in Milton Keynes. The role sits at the heart of commercial decision‑making, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Technology and senior leadership to turn data into actionable recommendations that drive revenue growth and improve customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse commercial performance across sales, customer acquisition, revenue and operational activity.
• Produce regular insight reports and performance dashboards that highlight trends and key metrics.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools to support organisation‑wide decision‑making.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and support growth initiatives.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to understand challenges and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Analyse pipeline performance, conversion rates, customer behaviour and product performance.
• Support forecasting, planning and commercial modelling activities.
• Conduct market analysis, competitor research and strategic reviews.
• Improve the quality, consistency and accessibility of business data.
• Collaborate with Technology, Data and Commercial teams to enhance reporting and business intelligence.
• Identify automation opportunities for manual reporting and information sharing.

Required profile

• Experience in a Commercial Analyst, Business Analyst, Strategy Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful trends.
• Advanced Excel skills, including building reports, models and analysing large datasets.
