Commercial Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Assistant to join a well‑established manufacturing organisation in Cheshire. This full‑time position offers the chance to support commercial decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment, working closely with pricing, costing and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update pricing models, including cost and foreign‑exchange adjustments.
• Prepare and distribute customer price lists and validate pricing data.
• Carry out ASP checks, price/volume analysis and blend cost calculations.
• Produce daily sales reports, performance analysis and other commercial reports.
• Analyse commercial data in Excel to support business decisions.
• Monitor market pricing information and maintain costing sheets.
• Assist with margin tracking, profitability analysis and respond to commercial queries.
• Update internal systems, trackers and reporting tools, ensuring accurate records of pricing changes and trials.
• Support ad‑hoc analysis and reporting requests from the wider commercial team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial, analytical, administrative or business support role.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proactive, positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• SharePoint (beneficial).
