Commercial Business Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Business Manager to join our growing lending team in West London. The role focuses on originating and executing Commercial Real Estate and Development Finance transactions while building strong relationships with brokers and professional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Originate CRE lending opportunities up to £20 million and Development Finance deals up to £10 million.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, accountants, solicitors, valuers and other introducers to generate new business.
• Assess lending proposals, provide recommendations and present opportunities to credit committees.
• Support underwriting by collaborating with Credit teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Conduct initial due diligence, risk assessments and site visits as required.
• Maintain a robust pipeline and ensure efficient progression of deals to completion.
• Monitor market trends and emerging risks to identify growth opportunities.
• Liaise with external stakeholders to facilitate transaction execution and ensure a seamless client experience.
• Contribute to lending and credit training programmes and present products to senior forums.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, TCF principles and internal policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Commercial Real Estate lending, commercial banking, property finance or development finance.
• Track record of originating or underwriting commercial lending transactions.
• Strong understanding of the UK lending market and regulatory environment.
• Established network of brokers, introducers and professional contacts in the property sector.
• Excellent credit analysis and risk assessment capabilities.
