Commercial Claims Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global broker to expand their Birmingham team. The Commercial Claims Manager will lead a group of claims handlers, driving performance, coaching staff and ensuring a high‑quality, customer‑centric service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the claims team, overseeing commercial claim handling and service delivery.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies and procedures aligned with organisational goals.
• Foster a high‑performance culture through accountability, continuous improvement and professional development.
• Analyse performance data and operational trends to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with HR, Learning & Development, Broking and Client Servicing to enhance team capability and client satisfaction.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective claims management.
• Handle and resolve client complaints promptly, ensuring regulatory compliance and service standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership or managerial role within the commercial claims insurance market.
• Proven track record of building and developing high‑performing teams.
• CII certification desired but not essential.
