Commercial Finance Analyst

About the role

We are working with a large FMCG business near Leeds that is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its growing finance team. The role offers exposure to commercial finance activities and the chance to work towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification while supporting key financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, variance analysis and performance reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow modelling processes.
• Produce financial analysis to inform commercial and strategic decisions.
• Develop and enhance financial models and KPI dashboards for management and investors.
• Participate in projects aimed at improving systems, processes and scalability.
• Collaborate with the sales team and other internal stakeholders on pricing strategy.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Economics or another numerate discipline (minimum 2:1).
• Relevant experience in a similar finance role is desirable.
• Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail.
• Commercially minded, curious and eager to learn.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
