Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join a fast‑growing organisation. Reporting to the Finance Controller, the role will provide finance analytics, business intelligence and reporting to senior stakeholders, supporting the company’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead forecasting reviews and annual planning cycles.
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance.
• Manage the annual budgeting process aligned with strategic objectives.
• Prepare board and senior management presentations, KPI analysis and ad‑hoc projects.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Produce rolling forecasts and regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards.
• Work closely with the Sales Director and Operations Director to deliver financial insights.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects, providing financial expertise.
• Identify and implement process improvements for the FP&A function.
• Utilise financial software and tools to streamline reporting and analysis.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA); part‑qualified or qualified by experience also considered.
• Minimum three years’ experience in FP&A, business partnering or commercial finance within a similar‑sized organisation.
• Proven staff management experience.
• Highly organised with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and creative problem‑solver.
• Hands‑on approach, willing to support and share knowledge with the team.

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, charts, macros, VLOOKUP).
