Commercial Financial Controller

About the role

We are partnering with an award‑winning London‑based agency to recruit a Commercial Financial Controller. The role sits at the intersection of finance and client services, driving commercial performance for key accounts in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the commercial performance of key accounts, including profitability management, forecasting and resource planning.
• Partner with client services and leadership teams to support pitches, shape statements of work and influence commercial strategy.
• Lead client profitability reporting, deliver insights and provide actionable recommendations.
• Manage and influence senior stakeholders across the business with a solutions‑focused approach.
• Identify and implement improvements in systems, processes and AI‑enabled technology to boost commercial delivery and efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a commercial finance role within the Marcomms or media sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence decision‑making.
• Confidence in managing senior stakeholders and leading discussions on revenue, profitability and growth.
• Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred.
