About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join a fast‑growing independent brokerage in Manchester. This is a full‑time, hybrid position where you will directly influence client outcomes and contribute to the firm’s continued expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, overseeing renewals, MTAs and policy adjustments.
• Negotiate with a panel of insurers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Build long‑term relationships with business owners, identifying risks and delivering tailored insurance solutions.
• Conduct thorough coverage reviews to maintain high service standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the firm’s reputation as the team scales.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Handler or in a similar commercial role.
• Solid understanding of commercial insurance products such as property, liability and combined risks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ambition to develop technical expertise within a growing independent firm.
