Commercial IT Associate – Solicitor (3-5 yrs PQE)

About the role

Join a well‑established commercial team at a leading UK law firm, working in a hybrid environment. You will handle a varied caseload of commercial matters, focusing on IT and outsourcing contracts while building long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial trading agreements, IT and outsourcing contracts, and other complex commercial arrangements.
• Conduct legal research, due diligence and provide clear, commercially‑sound advice to clients across public, private and third‑sector organisations.
• Manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm, benefiting from direct mentoring and structured development support.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong grounding in commercial law and confidence in drafting/negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.
• Proven ability to manage workload independently with excellent organisational skills.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical ability and commercial awareness.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, with a desire to develop technical and commercial expertise.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
