Commercial Lawyer – Flexible Consultancy – 7+ PQE

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing law firm that advises entrepreneurial businesses across multiple sectors. The firm seeks a Senior Commercial Solicitor on a flexible consultancy basis, offering autonomy, leadership support, and the chance to shape the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including supply, agency, distribution, introducer, SaaS and software agreements.
• Address data protection issues arising within commercial transactions.
• Handle intellectual property licensing and related matters.
• Support corporate transactions, such as transitional services and intra‑group agreements.
• Advise founders and growing businesses throughout their lifecycle.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to practice development.
• Participate in business development, networking and client relationship management.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in leading law firms.
• Strong background in commercial contracts and data protection within agreements.
• Experience working in‑house or on secondment and managing senior client relationships.
• Demonstrated interest in business development and leadership.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management abilities.
